TRIBE

happy memories.. lasting bonds

Every journey we’ve taken together has left behind more than photographs—it’s the laughter that echoed around campfires, the awe of witnessing first sightings in the wild, the flavors of local cuisines savored in hidden corners, and the friendships that blossomed across borders.

These moments, big and small, have woven themselves into a living tapestry of shared stories and cherished memories. Our past trips are not just recollections of places visited, but reminders of how travel connects us to people, cultures, and the natural world in ways that last a lifetime.

Below are snapshots of a few recent journeys—each one a chapter in our collective story, and an invitation to dream of the adventures still to come.

Angkor Wat, Cambodia

Watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat felt like stepping back into a timeless world.
The temple stones glowed golden, and quiet chants drifted through the air.
It was a moment of awe, stillness, and deep connection.

Vanghaat, Corbett NP, India

Misty mornings and the call of the wild made Corbett magical.
Tigers left silent tracks while deer grazed nearby.
It was nature at its most raw and real.

The buzz of scooters and the aroma of pho defined Hanoi’s charm. Hidden alleys revealed coffee shops and timeless traditions. Beer street.. night markets.. food sampling..
The city pulsed with history wrapped in everyday life.

East Thailand - Road trip

Far from the usual tourist trails, Isaan welcomed us with warmth.

Village markets overflowed with flavors, smiles, and laughter.
It was Thailand’s soul, unfiltered and unforgettable.

“Wildlife, Lenses & Campfire Tales – Kruger 2026”

🌍 Kruger National Park – May 2026

Let’s co-create a journey into the wild.In May 2026, I’m planning a small-group trip to Kruger National Park – one of Africa’s richest wildlife sanctuaries. The idea is simple: a team of max 10 explorers, meeting at Johannesburg (OR Tambo Airport), driving into Kruger together, and spending days in the bush — not just watching, but observing, learning, and photographing.

📸 Photography Focus:We’re all amateurs here, at different stages of the journey. This isn’t a masterclass; it’s a shared learning circle. The goal is to return home with sharper skills, better images, and deeper stories.

🦁 Animal Behaviour Focus:We’ll do informal observation sessions — sharing notes, discussing patterns, and documenting moments. Think of it as a mix of curiosity, patience, and teamwork rather than classroom-style learning.

🏕️ Stay & Style:Inside the park, in classic SANParks camps (rondavels & cottages).Self-drive in rental SUVs — flexible, immersive, and…

🌍 Responsible Travel: What Does It Mean to You?

At Curious Monk Travel, we believe travel isn’t just about where we go—it’s about how we go. Every choice we make on the road—big or small—shapes the impact we leave behind.

For us, responsible travel means:

  • 🦁 Respecting wildlife and their natural spaces

  • 🌿 Supporting local communities and artisans
